Borrowing From Other Libraries
The catalog says the book I want is at another location. Do I have to go there to
borrow it?
We'll send the book to the library most convenient to you. You may be able to pick it up
the following day depending on the delivery schedule.
Can you borrow things from other libraries?
Yes, our Interlibrary Loan department will try to help you locate the books and articles
you need from other libraries.
Can I get an extension on an Interlibrary loan?
Yes, sometimes. The lending library sets the due date. We can usually get a renewal with a
week's notice, but some libraries don't allow renewals.
I've gone through the items you have on a certain subject and I still
need more information.
There are two services we offer that may help you. One is Interlibrary loan (see the two
previous questions), the other is called InfoPass. InfoPasses are issued only when it is
clear that our resources have been exhausted and that one of our local academic librarires
can help you. It is available through the Main Library Reference Division.
