Holds
I'd like to reserve some books but I don't want them to come in at the same time.
Can that be arranged?
The explanation could get complex, but basically the answer is no. We can't control when
items placed on hold become available.
I placed a hold on a book and would like to know how long it will be before I get
it?
There's no way to determine how long you'll have to wait. Holds are filled on a
first-come, first-served basis. We'll notify you if we can't fill the request within six
weeks.
I put a book on hold but couldn't come get it when you called. Now I have forgotten
the title. Can you tell me what it is?
Sorry, once a hold is removed from your record the data is lost.
