Library Records
My husband asked me to find out what's on his record. He thinks he may have an
overdue book.
Alabama law states that public library use by an indiviual is confidential. The law
directs us to reveal customer information only to that individual or to the parent or
guardian of a minor child. Therefore, your husband must contact us for information on his
record.
Can you give me a printout of the items I have checked out?
We don't routinely provide a printout of your record, but will do so upon request.
Does the computer track all the stuff I've checked out, and can you give me a
printout of that list?
The computer tracks the items currently charged to you. We do not maintain a list of the
items returned, so, we can't give you a printout.
