Overdues

Do you send out reminder notices?
No, but as a courtesy, we do send overdue notices. Failure to return over due items will result in a loss of borrowing privileges and charges for the replacement of the items. You are also responsible for reasonable charges occured in the recovery of overdue material(s). If you receive an overdue notice after returning the materials, call us to clear your record.

I found a book that was due three months ago. I guess I owe you a fortune.
The overdue fine for the materials is .25 per item, per day. The maximum fine per item is $5.00.

Note! Our goal is to recover library materials. If our efforts to reclaim our property fail, a Municipal Offense Ticket may be issued. The ticket requires you to return or pay for the items charged to you, and pay the fines. In addition, it carries its own fines and court fees. This may sound harsh, but each year we lose nearly $100,000 worth of library materials.
