Over the years they have raised funds for special online resources like Mango Languages and Novelist. They have also provided funding for the Overdrive eBook platform, special purchases of materials and our Summer Library Program.

Get that warm feeling by becoming a Volunteer!
The Mobile Public Library receives valuable assistance from the local community through the donation of time, energy and talent from volunteers. If you have time on your hands and enjoy being around books, books, books, consider donating a few hours each week or month to your local library! Some of the work performed by our current volunteer force includes light clerical work, cleaning and mending books, straightening and shelving books, unpacking books and helping with our Children's Programs.
To volunteer, you should fill out a Volunteer Application form which is available at each of our branches.The Volunteer Coordinator will contact you for additional information and an interview with the manager. We will try to place you in a job based upon your interests, skills, preferred work site and time and our own special needs.

The perfect gift for any occasion is a gift to your Mobile Public Library. A contribution to the Library is a wonderful way to commemorate a birthday, retirement, anniversary, graduation, or to recognize the death of a friend or relative. Your gift builds our endowment fund which augments our book and materials budget. Your gift will be of benefit to those who use the Library for years to come.
Each gift is acknowledged with a card to the donor and to the honoree, or in the case of a memorial, to his or her family. Your gift is tax deductible as allowed by law, and has a lasting impact on our community.
